Zagora desert is a town in the Drâa-Tafilalet region. Pick-up at the hotel at 07:30 to begin the 2-day desert excursion. On the way to southern Morocco, you will cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka pass (2,260 meters above sea level). The road takes you along in “zigzag” way with enjoyable views of the Berber villages of the Imouzzar valley.
Stop to explore Ait Benhaddou. Then head to Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, with a short break at the entrance to the town to see the film studios and old movie sets. You will also have a break for lunch before continuing to Zagora via Agdez and through the Drâa Valley. Your camel ride begins about one kilometre from Zagora. Enjoy the sunset while doing your way to the nomad camp in the Nekhla’s dunes. Dinner will be served at the camp and you will spend the night in a private tent. On the second day, wake up early to enjoy a spectacular sunrise followed by breakfast. The way back will take you alongside the Drâa Valley with breaks for admiring views and having lunch, before you reach Marrakech.

I highly recommend the trip to Zagora; it was truly wonderful! Spending a night under the tent with a private washroom was a unique experience. We had an amazing time throughout the trip, and everything was well organized. Meeting wonderful people along the way added to the enjoyment. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an unforgettable desert adventure.
