Merzouga is a small Saharan village located at 562 km from Marrakech in the south-east of Morocco, famous for its dunes, the highest in Morocco.
Day trip plan:
- Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben haddou - Dades Gorges. At the end of the day, stop off in the Dades Gorges valley to enjoy a typical Moroccan dinner. Spend the night in an auberge and enjoy the unbelievable view over the valley.
- Day 2: Dades Gorges - Todgha - Merzouga. Your second day begins with a hearty breakfast at the auberge before setting off for the Saharan village of Merzouga through the Todra Gorges. Ride a camel into the sunset and end your day with dinner under the desert sky of Merzouga.
- Day 3: Merzouga - Marrakech Enjoy an early morning Berber breakfast in Merzouga, then watch the sunrise on a camel ride through the dunes. On the way back, cross the Atlas Mountains while going back to the south of Marrakech.

May 23, 2024Review by-HannahThe excursion was perfectly organized. We departed at 7:00 in the morning, arrived in Ouarzazate, visited the Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, and then headed to the desert. We spent one night in a hotel and the second under a tent, beneath the stars. We discovered many stunning places we didn't expect. Every activity was truly fantastic, from the scenic drives to the cultural experiences, and the food was delicious throughout the trip. I would highly recommend this journey to everyone
